Charles Trippe practices in the area of complex civil litigation, including corporate, commercial, personal injury and toxic tort, insurance coverage and transportation law.  He has had extensive experience in the preparation and trial of complex litigation in many jurisdictions, as well as alternative dispute resolution including mediation and arbitration.

Mr. Trippe was in private practice between 1980 and 1994, and became a partner in the firm of Jones Day in 1990.  In 1994, he joined the law department of CSX Transportation, Inc. where he had responsibility for high-risk and complex litigation matters, and was promoted to General Counsel - Litigation.  He joined the Firm as a shareholder in 2001.  He is admitted to practice in Florida, New York, and Massachusetts, as well as many federal courts.

Mr. Trippe earned both his undergraduate (A.B. cum laude) and law (J.D.) degrees from Columbia University in 1979.  He is a member of The Florida Bar, the Jacksonville and American Bar Associations, as well as the Defense Research Institute, the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel, and many civic and charitable organizations. He is also a certified civil mediator in Florida county and circuit courts.
